Dogs are cute, but this little pug manages to be both cute and extremely annoying at the same time. That latter part is because he seems to have mastered the skill of honking the horn of his human’s truck.
A new viral video is making the rounds and, yes, like most virals, it’s with animals. This time, it’s a little pug whose name isn’t available just yet. Then again, with skills like that, he doesn’t need any other introduction.
The video was shot in Dundee, Scotland, by a female passerby, who became alerted that something was off by all the noise.
As it turns out, she had every reason to be intrigued: here was a pup inside a locked truck, at the wheel of the vehicle, jumping on the seat and hitting the horn with almost clock-like regularity with its rear paws. Make no mistake, the action is very deliberate, as you can see for yourself if you check out the video at the bottom of the page.
Sadly, the passerby didn’t wait around for the dog’s human to return, so the video cuts before she even gets closer to the truck. We have nothing else to go on as regards the identity or the intentions of this little frustrated pug that seems to embody any man or woman ever left alone in a car, while the driver ran errands: “You said you’d only be gone one minute!!!”
On a more serious note, here’s to hoping the driver of the truck took all precautions regarding the safe transport of the dog. Rule 57 of the Highway Code states: “When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves if you stop quickly. A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals in cars.”
Drivers who travel with their pets unrestrained are liable for fines of up to £1,000.
