The DTM grid girls are known around the motorsport world as some of the hottest in the biz. Right up there with them are the girls in  Formula 1 but we really couldn’t pick a side here, as we like both competitions and girls alike.
Now, the DTM, through its Youtube channel, decided to apply what the rest of the internet has been doing for the last couple of years, in a daring attempt to rise the view count of their account. They are now using beautiful girls to promote themselves.

Their latest creation is a short clip, in which one of the grid girls, dressed in the BMW Deutsche Bank livery, explains what a mandatory pit stop is. We already knew what it was but we couldn’t help but stop and watch this video to see how Petra explains it.

According to her a mandatory pit stop is a requirement set in place by the DTM, where all four tyres must be changed. This pit stop has to be done during the second third of the race. Furthermore, it cannot be done during the safety car period. After the safety car period has ended the drivers have five more laps on which to make their stops even if that would cause the stops to be made outside the prescribed window.

We know, it all sounds really boring and, unfortunately, you also get to see it on Petra’s face who looks a bit confused and basically forced to do the whole thing. We don’t blame her though, we’d probably be pretty bummed out too if we were to talk about something we don’t find interesting in front of the camera. She’s still pretty though!
