In the wake of welcoming the new 2 Series into our BMW world, we thought it would be a good idea to take a moment a remember the brilliant car that came before it and made it possible: the BMW E82 1M Coupe.
That car was a true M vehicle and nothing was held back on it. Most people called it the true successor of the E30 M3 but we rather consider it a car with its own identity. Even though BMW only allowed 6,331 units of it to be built and sold, it was more than enough to start a true cult around it.
It was such a good car that a successor was needed and demanded all over the world. Now, we have it and it's called the M235i. This time, it won't be a true M car but rather an M Performance model but it's looking very promising.
The specs are almost similar and the weight distribution is similar too with a perfect balance of 50:50. With the further adjustments and improvements BMW claims it did, the new car should be at least as gracious as the 1M Coupe in the video below.
