Here's a Good Hint on How the Tesla Model 3 Could Look Like

Nothing official to see here, as Elon Musk and Tesla Motors are not into the teasing game (yet) with the upcoming Model 3 sedan. However, we have Theophilus Chin ready to save the day.

The Model 3 EV was confirmed last year, and it should arrive in 2016. But so far, Tesla Motors is keeping lips closed on the model. Straight since the news hit the Internet, the media was quick to pit the Model III green sedan against the BMW 3 Series.

On that note, Theophilus Chin took the liberty of coming up with an impression of how Tesla's new all-electric saloon would look like. Bear in mind, it's not Chin's first attempt to render the sedan that will slot under the Model S, so he's starting to get good at this.

For these two renderings you are about to see, Theophilus Chin worked some digital magic and 'reclothed the Jaguar XE with the skin of Tesla Model S'. Of course, several styling adjustments were added to round off the design study and put a final touch on the virtual Tesla Model 3.

In terms of proportions, the Model 3 will be about 20 percent smaller than the Model S and should go on sale with a $35,000 sticker, possible due to cheaper battery tech produced by the Panasonic-enhanced Gigafactory. Maximum range would stand between 200 and 300 miles (322 and 483 km) although we have no official confirmation on that just yet.

Before we let you examine the two photos, we'd like to add that the Tesla Model III will purportedly get SUV and estate iterations. Therefore, maybe Theophilus Chin could work something out and use his imagination towards creating digital versions of these two models as well.
