Lots of cool cars made their way to this year's New York Auto Show, including a roster of new convertibles, freshly designed premium SUVs and the amazing new Cadillac CT6 flagship. It might not have been as big as Detroit, but for the overall experience the Big Apple was nicer.
Using only beautiful women may be catalogued by some as sexist, and that could be the reason NAIAS wasn't that cool in 2015. But New York seems to have no shortage of female beauties.

This short video released by the folks at Auto Bild is a nice 2-minute roundup of the action. It starts with a quick look at the Lincoln stand that welcomed the arrival of a new Continental Concept. Many bad things were said about the car, including a veiled plagiarism attack from Bentley, but nobody can complain about the girls.

The Mercedes name was spoken quite often in New York. That's because the new GLE-Class SUV has made its debut there and is a crucial model for the German brand. It replaced the ML and while we're inclined to call it a facelift, not an all-new model, the S-Class-inspired design is beautiful.

The girls at the Dodge Viper stand were understandably dressed with street cred', while the Lexus lasses were classy. As well they should have been, since the brand new RX luxury crossover was just introduced. Some might not have liked the spindle grille design, buy we think it's a 100% improvement from before, plus the 50mm-longer wheelbase means space has been seriously boosted.

So without further ado, we bring you bright smiles, silky hair and tight dresses of New York… via Germany. And yes, the one above was from Alfa Romeo.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
