There were quite a lot of jaws which dropped on the floor when Mercedes-Benz released teaser interior photos of their upcoming V-Class.
After the "V-Class" model designation took a break in most countries between 2004 and 2014, having been replaced with the Viano nameplate in the meantime, it will apparently return from next year.
Even though the car's exterior is pretty far from being a mystery, as the official sketches have been leaked out months ago, there are still some styling details to be revealed and we hope that the following spyshots might clear some of the fog.
Expected to fill in the gap left by the demise of the ill-fated R-Class, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz V-Class will be less of a boxy MPV/van and more of a luxurious shuttle for six or seven people, powered by a range of new direct-injection turbocharged engines fitted to either a six-speed manual gearbox or the seven-speed G-Tronic.
The adjacent images show a group of V-Class pre-production prototypes hot-weather testing in Spain, where quite a lot of upcoming Mercedes-Benz models have been spied in recent weeks.
