Introduced two weeks ago, the 2014 Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV was advertised once again by Houston-based specialist Hennessey Performance.
Developed as a conversion pack for the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup truck, the VelociRaptor has a starting price of $149,500, not including the $43,920 Raptor. The high-performance SUV can be had with the stock 6.2-liter V8 engine, rated at 411 HP, or with a supercharged version that delivers 600 HP, with 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) times of 7.5 seconds and 5.9 seconds respectively.
With production limited to only 30 examples a year, the Hennessey VelociRaptor can be ordered directly from Hennessey Performance or through select Hennessey/Ford dealers.
Getting back to the one and half minute video in question, Hennessey is letting us have a peek at the VelociRaptor SUV in action for the very first time, but throws in a few interior shots as well. It looks like the Texan specialist took the SUV out on the drag strip as well, but unfortunately the footage doesn’t include a full quarter-mile run. It should be on its way, though... *fingers crossed*
