Hennessey Venom GT Spyder at Pebble Beach

Supercars and celebrities usually go hand in hand, and this one is no exception. It’s the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder and it’s the only one in the world right now as far as we know.
Built for Aerosmith lead singer and former American Idol judge Steven Tyler, it replaces the roof of a normal VEnom GT with a bit of schafolding. The platform comes from a Lotus featherweight sportscar and the engine might as well come from the pits of hell, because it produces up to 1,200 hp depending on which setting you leave it in.

BrianZuk recorded the Venom GT Spyder at the recent 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Oddly enough, the owner of Hennessey never wanted to make use of Steven Tyler’s name to promote his product, which you have to agree is pretty nice.

The car is based on a Lotus Elise but features a massive 1,200 horsepower twin-turbo 7.0-liter V8 engine that will through you into the nearest hedge if you’re not careful.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
