With the 8.4-liter V10 having been left in stock condition, the Lone Star State developer may have installed a blower, but stuck to a reasonable 5 psi boost pressure. Even so, the generously-sized engine compartment of the snake now also accommodates an intercooler, high-flow injectors, as well as an engine management system upgrade. The 3-inch stainless steel exhaust comes as bonus, one that spits flames from time to time.
Thanks to the added muscle, the Dodge Viper can now complete the 0 to 60 mph spring in 2.9 seconds, while dealing with quarter mile chores in 10.5 seconds at 143 mph - since Hennessey explains the "best acceleration times are attained using optional drag radial tires on a prepped dragstrip," we expect these ingredients to have been used for achieving the times mentioned above.
