Help Wanted for Identifying and Catching Hit and Run Biker – Video

Scotland Yard has released footage from a surveillance camera in Sutton, south west London, hoping that it will be seen by people who could provide information which could lead to identifying a hit and run motorcycle rider involved in a crash in the early hours last Saturday.

The inquiry is aimed at bringing to justice a rider who hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street and leaving the man unconscious in the middle of the road and riding a away despite obvious signs that he was seriously injured. The police is asking internet users to distribute this video hoping that the driver of the car which pursued the motorcycle down Cheam Common Road will come forth and provide further info.

Shouting at a fallen injured pedestrian then taking off

The motorcycle can be seen impacting the pedestrian full-on sending him some 20 meters (60 feet) down the road. The rider also comes off the vehicle, and reportedly yelled at the unconscious man lying in the middle of the road before picking up the bike and fleeing the scene.

It is obvious that the injured pedestrian makes a very poor decision trying to cross the road much too late and in the way of incoming traffic. The bike is approaching at speed and the impact is violent. The 53-year-old man was admitted into a local hospital, treated for his wounds and later discharged.

Police says that the motorcycle lost its top case and a fender in the crash, and they are being investigated as proof which could lead to tracking down the rider. No arrests have been made so for. We ask our riders in the London area who may have info related to this case to contact the nearest police station.
