Hellcat Chrysler Pacifica Is Ralph Gilles' Dinner Sketch, We May See It at SEMA

People sometimes get bored over dinner, no matter how good the wine is or how fancy the location can get. We've experienced it, you've experienced it and it will, most likely, happen again sometime. But there's a question to be asked here and it concerns what you do when such a feeling hits you.

Well, we should all take an example from Ralph Gilles, former SRT helm man and currently Fiat-Chrysler leading designer. Earlier this week, the FCA exec fueled his Instagram account, which, by the way, is famous, with a sketch that appears to have been completed over dinner.

Using a piece of paper and a crayon, Ralph came up with a minivan sketch that will certainly make you lose your breath. If the sporty body kit, which includes a massive wing, or the helmet-wearing driver who's leaning behind the wheel, won't do that trick, perhaps the muscle envisioned by the man will.

Yes, you adrenaline junkies, we're talking about a Hellcat-ized Chrysler Pacifica here.

Before you rush to conclusions

Given the tight budget Fiat Chrysler is operating on, don't expect this to join the V6 or the all-new hybrid version in showrooms.

However, the Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat may make the transition from paper to real life, but as a show car. This looks like nothing short of SEMA material, so perhaps Ralph Gilles was simply hitting us with an Easter Egg, a habit SRT seems to enjoy more and more often these days.

FCA has a wild history when it comes to SEMA concepts. Here's to hoping we won't have to wait until November (the traditional Specialty Equipment Market Association event timeframe) to see if the supercharged V8 Pacifica pulls a Sir Alec Issigonis on us. And since we feel the need to explain this for the younger part of our audience, we'll remind you the original Mini started out in life as a napkin sketch completed in a restaurant.
