Hellcat Badges Mean This Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Must Have an Imaginary Blower

Florida Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Owner Adds Hellcat Badges 1 photo

Next time when you hear an engineer talking about the assets of the new electrically-driven turbos, you should mention the future of forced induction: imaginary blowers.
We think the fictional supercharger found underneath the hood of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT in the image above is the reason for which the owner decided to add Hellcat badges.

As Redditor BrandonNeider, who snapped the picture, explains, the SRT Jeep guy didn't simply settle for a Hellcat badge on the tailgate, which could've been taken as a trolling move.

Instead, the Florida man gifted the Grand Cherokee with at least four badges, ensuring his pun is visible from most angles. And this, ladies and gentlemen drivers, is how you ruin an otherwise dream-worthy machine.

As faith would have it, the Redditor drives an actual Hellcat, but when he tried to park his Challenger next to the faux Hellcat Jeep, he ended up with a conclusion that will only fuel boat-related Challenger jokes: "Was hoping to park next to him [the Jeep driver] but the spot next to him was too tight with the car over from him,"

Wonder if the Florida Jeep man will consider removing the badges once SRT introduces the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. As Jeep CEO Mike Manley has confirmed back in January at the Detroit Motor Show, the company will bring the factory-supercharged 6.2-liter under the hood of the Grand Cherokee next year.

And while initial reports talked about engineers struggling to find an all-wheel-drive way to deliver the brutish power and torque of the V8, Jeep dismissed those rumors by letting it slip the contraption will deliver a 3.5s 0 to 60 mph sprint. You know, for the no-fuss drivers who steer clear of Porsche and BMW badges, but want to see most other cars on the road in their rear-view mirrors.
