After BMW released the 330d version of their newest 3 Series model, German BMW tuner Hartge released a conversion kit for the 3-liter engine and now it's showcasing the improved abilities with a new video.
The stock 330d has 258 HP and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal and that seems to be too little for the Hartge engineers. Their version has 302 HP and 655 Nm (483 lb-ft) of torque. That's almost as torquey as the M5 and the M6. Quite impressive.
Furthermore, according to them you'll receive a 3-year warranty, and the fuel consumption levels will decrease by around half a liter per 100 km. However, the most impressive changes will be felt on the highway.
As you can see in the video below, the 80-250 km/h is drastically improved. The stock version is done with the acceleration in 21.12 seconds. The Hartge tuned version will do it 4.66 seconds faster, in 16.46 seconds.
Being extremely easy to install (according to Hartge) and with a price tag of only €2,147 ($2,800), this kit seems to be a veritable bargain.
