A new alliance in the infotainment and IT solutions for cars is taking shape in Germany and China, as Harman International and the Neusoft Corporation announced a new partnership for the creation of advanced technologies in automotive and consumer electronics.
As part of the agreement between the two, development centers will be created in Shenyang and Hamburg. In both locations, 500 more personnel will be added to the employment scheme of the two companies.
"We are delighted to welcome Neusoft as a strategic partner," Dinesh C. Paliwal, Harman CEO said in a release. "This relationship will accelerate our development of next-generation technologies and sharpen our execution focus in delivering Harman's record $10 billion audio and infotainment order book, while adding Neusoft's deep expertise to our commitment to keep our customers at the leading edge of navigation technologies."
"Further, Neusoft's experience in Chinese, Japanese and Korean navigation solutions will help Harman extend its Western automotive leadership to Asia."
In case you're wondering what Harman is all about, the company is the one behind the Halosonic sound technology developed for electric vehicles and showcased on the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid at the 2010 Geneva International Auto Show. Neusoft on the other hand specializes in IT solutions and services.
"By partnering with Harman, Neusoft will also further improve our development and innovation competitiveness in the product engineering field, as well as enhance our overall delivery capabilities for our customers in the European market," Jiren Liu, Neusoft CEO added.
