Our faraway sources whispered that the Harley-Davidson Street 750 got a firm base price for the Indian market.
According to local reports, the Street 750 is offered for a base price of 4.1 lakh rupees. This means that the base model of the bike retails for around $6,570 or €4,810.
Now, this is a price which will be hard to beat, even by the Japanese manufacturers who are offering middleweight cruisers, truth be told.
It looks like the locally-produced machines indeed have a much lower price, and with some of the corners rounded a bit, the final price is a very competitive one.
And I mentioned the "rounded corners" because Harley says there has been no corner-cutting involved in the making of the Street bikes, only careful development and optimization.
Until anything goes wrong, which I kind of doubt it will, Harley's new offer is a truly nifty one, I'll give them that for sure.
