Here's one more motorcycle manufacturer showing the 2012 figures. Despite some foretelling the imminent doom Harley-Davidson will face in 2013, it looks like the Milwaukee-based brand had a very good year.
H-D reports that worldwide sales went up 6.2%, and this doesn't seem to be bad news at all. The US market saw 6.6% more Harley-Davidson sales in 2012 compare to 2011, while the rest of the planet bought 5.6% more H-D bikes.
The most spectacular sales increase as been reported in Latin America, with a whopping 39.2% increase over 2011. No less than 249,849 Harley-Davidsons found a new home in 2012, and still 2013 will bring the long-expected Indian-manufactured smaller-displacement bikes...
While those who keep on bashing H-D claim that the old air-cooled technology will lead to their downfall, we'd rather wait for Sturgis and the all-new Indian cruisers to say which will chew off Harley-Davidson's figures in the future. Until then, here's India's first H-D registered to a female rider. And she's pretty, too!
