It’s been a rough year for bike maker Harley-Davidson, and not because of the health crisis. The American behemoth was finally faced with the consequences brought about by years of bad decisions: it lost its CEO, pulled out of India, and was forced to realign its racing commitments.
Harley has been accused time and time again of having a business model that is anything but suitable for the modern world. From the bikes themselves to how it advertises them, there’s a feeling Milwaukee is severely outdated.

Starting in 2021, the company plans to change that. And it will do so beginning January 21, when it will hold, for the first time in its history, a digital event.

Called H-D 21 and scheduled for January 19, it will be the place to be if you want to learn what the bike maker prepares for the coming year, from motorcycles to parts and accessories, riding gear, and even apparel. A lot of people will be aiding with the presentation, including actor Jason Momoa.

Weirdly enough, the event is only open to those who register (you can do that at this link) and not to everyone. That kind of defeats the purpose of getting out whatever message Harley is trying to transmit to as many people as possible.

One of the most anticipated Harley bikes in years, the Pan America, will not be a star of the show. Its unveiling is scheduled for February 22, and during H-D 21, we’ll only get a glimpse of the bike.

“We’re thrilled to bring the world together virtually to showcase the inspiration and passion behind our 2021 motorcycles, including a glimpse of our first adventure touring motorcycle, Pan America,” said in a statement VP Marketing Theo Keetell.

"We look forward to sharing this moment with our customers and dealers from around the world.
