One of the most talented renderers out there, Jon Sibal, took a stab at putting together a more hardcore version of the Acura NSX. Released this year at the Detroit Auto Show, the modern incarnation of the legendary model of the nineties sent a shockwave through the crowd gathered to see it.
We were there and felt the impact the car made, that was unfortunately softened by the surprise release of the new Ford GT. The Americans might’ve rained on the Japanese’s parade but things might change in the future.

The key to Acura’s popularity will be its mix of performance and a low price tag and that’s just what the masses are waiting for. It’s the same recipe that was applied to the original Nissan GT-R R35 version. When it came out, it was capable of doing things cars that were two times as expensive couldn’t.

Even so, some said that they expected a bit more fierceness from the new NSX and other rushed to call it bland. We wouldn’t go that far but we do like what renderer Jon Sibal did here.

He took a glance at the front end and decided to make it look meaner. Therefore, he included a new carbon fiber front splitter as well as some canards and a wing at the back.

Since we’ve just seen the McLaren P1 GTR using roughly the same recipe, we could venture as far as to say that this could very well be the NSX GTR but we know that’s a pretty far fetched assumption.
