Cleaning and lubing a motorcycle chain might seem a dirty and exhausting ordeal for some riders out there, but there are plenty of tools to make the process simpler and today we’ll show you this neat little kit that offers a cleaner and more relaxed way of performing the dreaded task.
We all know that moment when we take a look at our bike and see the chain begging for attention. It’s that time again when we’ll have to grab the motorcycle stand, spray cans, brushes and get busy for a few dozen minutes.

While some find this mandatory maintenance procedure a way to relax, some think it’s too much of a hassle and prefer to take theirs to a shop nearby and pay for this simple job. And the fact that their sportbike doesn’t have a center-stand nor do they have a separate one for the job makes it even worse.

The Motorcycle Chain Lube Helper and Overspray Guard combo we found online promises to solve two common problems for under 20 bucks. Apparently, using this system absolves you from having to deal with a heavy bike stand, and it will also make sure you won’t spray chain lube all over the place.

Included in the kit, you’ll find an adjustable metal rod with rubber on its ends as well as a nifty little spray guard. To use the first gizmo, you simply rest the bike on its kickstand and measure the distance of the swing arm and the ground on the right.

Then you adjust the bar to be an inch higher and strap it to the swing arm as shown in the video. Reclining the bike to its left will make the bar fall in place and keep the rear wheel off the ground so it can be spun freely by hand.

The other gizmo straps to your chain lube spray can with rubber bands and creates a barrier between your spraying area and the rest of your bike. Genius! Too bad the kit doesn’t contain some “magic” brushes that can be fixed to the chain cleaner spray.
