Can’t wait for the dubious-shaped cars of the future? You can now buy a one-off, hand built SF car and make your own future; with round windows and butterfly doors.
Mike Vetter has a car-mods shop in Florida and, apart from your every other two-new-bumpers-and-some-wheels customization jobs, the man likes to create alien-looking cars.

What you see here for sale is called the ETV, which obviously stands for Extra Terrestrial Vehicle. There were a few other models made before this one, but so far it’s the most complete iteration. Mike already has another design in mind, so he wants to find an owner for this one.

The ETV looks factory new from bumper to bumper and has clocked just over 30,000 miles (48,280 km), being powered by a turbocharged 2-liter gasoline engine mated to a manual transmission.

It’s pointless to talk you through the exterior design with its angles, curved shapes and round windows that actually open so we’ll see what’s inside. Contrasting to the alien shapes on the outside, the two butterfly doors actually reveal a pretty common looking cockpit.

You’ll find some sport seats as well as two displays fitted on the central console that show you what’s behind and in front of the bumper via cameras. Everything is wrapped in leather though.

That extra low ground clearance might raise some questions, but in fact the car rides of an air suspension and the gap can be altered in order to drive over speed-bumps or inclines.

Street legality? Well, the car is registered and titled as an ASPT (Assembled from Parts) in Florida, so you can take it on the streets. That if you have $89,000 (€69,200) to spend on it.
