Hand-Painted Animal Print 1971 Corvette C3 Available on eBay, It's a Fashion Icon Wannabe

Whenever a piece of news on autoevolution contains the word Corvette, you should expect either a drag race, a tuning example or a new model. However, this time things take a fashion turn and they're not going in the right direction.

Whether it resembles a cheetah, a leopard, a tiger or a zebra, the animal print should stay where it belongs, that is on Kim Kardashian's clothing, bags and home decor.

However, this is only our humble opinion, because some folks think it's a good idea to mix cars and fashion to an extreme outcome.

It's hard to say if the owner was looking for an exotic touch on his car or he just wanted to make it look more agile by applying the feline pattern on its otherwise appealing body shapes, since it's a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette C3 T-Top Coupé we're talking about here.

Let that sink in for a moment, before we add that the car was up for auction on eBay, but has not been sold because none of the bidders hit the reserve. So here's a chance for you to make a move for it. Or not. Better not.

But before we jump to conclusions, let's see what the owner has to say about the car.

"First off, the car drives fine. I have taken care of the parts of the car that needed repairs at the times needed, including any body work underneath. The door panels and seats have a couple of cracks, though not bad. The battery and odometer gauge don’t work. The pop-out rear window needs a new latch. If interested, I can provide a list of 40 years of repairs and improvements.”

Also, the odometer stopped working at 95,949 miles (154,415 km) but the owner lets us know it probably has around 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on top of that. The bidding peaked at $6,600 and here's another detail: the animal print is not a wrap, it was painted on the car by hand in the mid-90s.
