A while back we were introducing the first tuning elements from Hamann for the brand new BMW F15 X5. At that time we were showing you a complete wide body kit and some new wheels but this time, we’re talking about separate parts.
The new ‘collection’ includes aerodynamic parts, exhaust systems, engine tuning, alloy wheels and accessories. As far as the aerodynamics go, you can improve them using a new front bumper, new side skirts, a fiberglass front lip or a roof spoiler made of two pieces.

As for the exhaust, Hamann offers a new rear muffler that can be combine with either chromed tail pipe trims or carbon ones. A video showing us how the new system sounds like would be enlightening but we’ll have to wait a bit more for such ‘luxuries’.

Under the bonnet, the guys are offering 6 different kits, for various power plants. The top of the range xDrive50i model that has a 4.4-liter V8 engine making 450 HP and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque to play around with, can be taken up to 490 HP and 707 Nm (521 lb-ft) of torque.

The only other petrol engine that can be improved at Hamann is the 3-liter one on the xDrive35i model, making 348 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque after the tuner is done with it, 42 HP and 50 Nm (32 lb-ft) more than in stock guise.

Diesel alternatives are more impressive though. The M50d model can be taken up from 381 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque to 434 HP and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque, all coming from a 3-liter diesel engine.

The entry level diesel alternative, the sDrive25d and xDrive25d models that are using 2-liter turbocharged units making 218 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque can achieve impressive numbers too. At 251 HP and 502 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque, they will handle the 2 ton weight of the X5, easily.

Two other 3-liter diesels can also be tuned at Hamann. The xDrive30d can go up to 295 HP and 605 Nm (446 lb-ft) of torque from 258 HP and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) while the xDrive40d biturbo model can go to 355 HP and 695 Nm (512 lb-ft) of torque instead of the stock 313 HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque.

All of these numbers are achieved only by retuning the ECU map of the cars, an operation that usually takes a couple of minutes. Prices haven’t been released yet.
