Hamann Is Already Working on a BMW M2 Tuning Kit

Only a few days passed since the M2 was released and tuners around the world are already interested in it. One of the first to do so is Hamann, who has just published a photo on its Facebook page, showing the car on a set of custom wheels from its own store.
Looking at it, we have to agree that the Evo rims and the new paint go together like PB and J, but we want to see more. Call us crazy, but in the last few years the German tuner got us used to all sorts of body kits and the M2 shouldn’t be left out.

If you think about it, it’s the cheapest M car you can get at the moment, and that means people will have some cash left around to buy a kit or two for it. Chances are the M2 will probably be one of the enthusiasts’ favorites due to its tuning potential.

The N55 engine under the hood can be taken up to 400 HP easily, as in stock guise it already makes 370 and up to 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) thanks to overboost. Admittedly, that’s only for a few seconds, the car normally delivering 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) to the rear wheels.

Knowing Hamann, an engine upgrade is definitely in the works, as well as one that changes the way the car looks on the outside. Hopefully, things won’t go in the other extreme, creating a design that is way too complicated and hard to look at. One such example is the M5-inspired Mi5sion that featured one of the ugliest front ends we’ve seen to date. The whole thing just seemed like it frowned at you.

Moving away from that stuff would be a good move and the pricing should also be kept in check. Until we actually get an official word from the tuner, though, all we have to work with is this teaser that does stir up the curiosity.
