The 2009 BMW 7 Series will receive a new aftermarket kit from the famous German tuner Hamann that will improve both the appearance and the performance figures of the model. Unfortunately, details are fairly scarce for the time being but, as you can see for yourself in the adjacent photos, the car comes with 5-spoke 22-inch wheels finished in black and perfectly matching the body appearance.
Side skirts, a front low bumper, rear spoiler and four tailpipes are also included in the package. Speaking of interior enhancements, black leather seats, carpets featuring embossed Hamann logos and sport pedals provide a sportier interior compared to the standard model.
The current 7 Series comes in a choice of five different engine configurations, obviously depending on the market. The top unit is the 750Li V8 unit with a displacement of 4395 cmc and developing 408 horsepower and 442.5 lb-ft of torque. Producing around 266 g/km, the car accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
On the other hand, 3.0-liter diesel 730d version puts out a maximum power of 240 hp combined with a torque of 177.7 lb-ft between 1750 and 3000 rpm. This engine produces 192 g/km of CO2, with top speed of 152.2 mph and 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds.
Nevertheless, the previous-generation Hamann 7 Series came out in 2005 and relied on the standard V12 6.0-liter engine. However, Hamann engineers upgraded the engine to 7.1-liter to produce a maximum power of 510 hp (375 kW) and 728 Nm of torque, with maximum speed of 312 km/h (194 mph).
