It always seems that you can do just about anything with an engine if it already has a pair of turbochargers slapped onto it when it’s brand new and fresh off the production line. But somehow, the BMW M5 didn’t fit the bill, with the most amount of power squeezed by the tuners being 640 hp (by G-Power).
That’s definitely a lot for a car that looks like any other saloon from the outside. But tuning should be about going all out with mental performance, as most owners just want to have the power available, not necessarily to use it.
Thankfully, Hamann has come up with a spectacular kit for the new, 2012 BMW M5, based in the F10 chassis. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet has been bestowed with no less than 720 HP and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque.
Besides the mental engine, the Hamann M5 also comes with a body kit with various carbon fiber elements such as mirror casings, door handles, side vents, roof spoiler and more.
