These days, it seems TV shows are the new thing in Hollywood, more and more celebrities like Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson accepting roles in such productions. Just recently, Halle Berry was spotted filming for a new sci-fi TV show called "Extant" in a five-door urban electric car, a BMW i3.
We’re not exactly sure about her role in the TV show, but we can certainly tell you a few things about the said vehicle. It is a car designed for the city and promises an all-electric drivetrain. It is powered by a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery pack mounted under the passenger compartment and a 170-horsepower, 184 lb-ft of torque synchronous electric motor.

With the i3, the German company decided to develop an all-new platform as well as architecture instead of basing it on an existing model. From a design point of view, its looks might be a bit too much for some and we must say that it’s going to take a while to get used to it. It isn’t exactly the most handsome car out there, lacking subtlety and charm, the company going for a more bulkier look.

The i3’s shape has been constructed in such a way to maximize interior space and improve aerodynamics, the vehicle incorporating recycled or renewable-sourced materials. The cabin offers a bit of funkiness, the door panels and dash top being reinforced with kenaf plant fibers. Moreover, you’ll also be able to notice touches such as satin chrome door handles and the free-floating iDrive screen. Of course these are just a few of the things the this particular vehicle has to offer.

Well, we must say that the car does seem like something out of a sci-fi movie and we’re pretty interested to see it in Halle Berry’s new TV show.
