Halle Berry Dismounts a Chrysler 200

What better way for a carmaker's new product to make its big entrance than to have one Hollywood star or another place their behinds on the back seat? Especially if that behind belongs to Halle Berry...

The Hollywood actress, fresh off the set of her new movie, Frankie and Alice (a drama of an African American woman with a racist multiple personality disorder), attended the premiere of the film accompanied by Chrysler logos all around. More importantly, it was a Chrysler 200 which took her to the premiere.

The 200, which just entered production at the Sterling Heights assembly plant, a factory until recently under threat of closure, adorned an event which most likely will be just the first of an entire series. Chrysler promises in the video posted on Facebook (the same showing Halle Berry, so go to the following link for some more) that it will be present at some more similar events in the future.

As for the model itself (the car, not the actress), it will come powered by a choice of two engines, a 2.4l four-cylinder World Gas Engine and a Pentastar V6 (283 hp and a peak torque of 260 lb-ft 323 Nm). The engines can be paired to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic transmission.

At the interior, probably the most eye-friendly Chrysler in years boasts a new instrument panel, bezels and gauge face, upgraded seats with revised spring geometry, leather and cloth seating materials, new “soft touch” armrests and dash and new heating and cooling outlets in the instrument panel.
