The BMW 2 Series is definitely a cool car. Call it what you want but you can’t deny it. Even the entry-level 228i is absolutely crazy to drive, especially with a manual. There will always be nay-sayers out there claiming that 245 HP is not enough for a proper sports car but you don’t need to mind them.
Neither did the guys from H&R springs that went for such a model when they were picking out the base car for their upcoming project. The 228i was seen as a perfect fit for their needs. With a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged powerplant under the bonnet that makes 245 HP and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque and then sends them all to the rear wheels, it’s hard to deny it.

Since this is their car, after all, the H&R guys also hooked it up with their signature springs that lowered the chassis by 1 inch in the front (2.54 cm) and 0.8 inches round the back (1.8 cm), getting a new face and feel to go with that BMW attitude.

Then, OZ 19” Leggera HLT wheels were installed, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, measuring 235/35R19 up front and 245/35R19 round the back. To wrap up the exterior, BMW M Performance black kidney grilles were added to the front fascia.

Inside, changes were kept to a minimum, with the car featuring M Performance carbon fiber brake handle with alcantara boot and new floor mats all around. It might not seem like much, but this thing sure stands out in the crowd.
