Shaw Speed & Custom has bestowed its magic upon a commoner 2004 Harley-Davidson FXSTI Standard Softail and the resulting machine is a staggering custom racer which mixes the unmistakable Harley DNA with the bespoke looks the British workshop has become famous for.
The stock 150cc rear wheel was ditched in favor of a Performance Machine 240mm one, and the whole stance of the bike had to be changed to match the instant evil looks. Since the rear wheel was changed, a beefier front one replaced the stock tire on the contrast-cut rim, while the fork got a golden nitrate coating to suit the final livery. New handlebars, masters and new switchgear came in place and added to the lowered stance of the front end, stressing the racing build.

Roland Sands Design provided the chopped rear fender, seat pan and the sprung seat, which create a lean, flowing line for the Slim Racing. Since the whole feel of the bike was irremediably changed, Shaw Speed & Custom used the tank and speedo form a Harley XR, as their low profile was the right choice for a coherent project.

Performance Machine forward controls provide the right riding position, while styling has been enhanced with an open belt primary for a more radical look. A comparison with the stock bike is funny, to say the least, isn’t it?
