The good ol’ Gymkhana we know and love involves a hefty dose of Ken Block, his 650 HP Ford Fiesta ST or more recently, the Hoonicorn Mustang RTR. Plus enough drifts and burnt rubber to keep you wanting for more long time after the video ended. These guys, however, came up with their own Gymkhana.
They come from Canada, they call themselves Wide Open Drift Team and the man behind the wheel is professional driver Jeff Laflamme. And yeah, the lad can drift his modified first generation Lexus IS300 on a frozen lake almost to perfection.

We inserted that almost because there’s a lot of work to do before reaching Ken Block’s level 9000 in drifting but don’t get this wrong, the video will still keep you glued to your displays throughout its entire two minutes and 47 seconds.

Since having a Hoonigan logo sticker on your dashboard doesn’t immediately transform you into Ken Block, the drift team adopted the same obstacle-smashing approach as the seen in the Gymkhana series. Only this time, the entire action involves a lot of snow, two fishermen, hay ballots and a sofa being towed by the drifting Lexus.

By the way, the car looks like a Frankenstein on four wheels with all those cracks and stitches covering its body, but this means that it went through a lot of testing before being fit for the video camera. After all, practice makes perfect and everybody knows that a well placed scar makes you look a lot more interesting and though, right?

Anyway, here’s the video, just have fun and let us know what you think in the comments section below:
