The world's favorite drifter - or just the one with the best production team around him - is teasing a new video, and it looks like Ken Block is going to take a slightly different path than the one he's been beating for the last few years.
About time, right? I mean, we like seeing a car drift as much as the next guy, but after three or so videos, you're bound to struggle to find ways to keep making them enjoyable. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing, after all.

Ken is pretty tight-lipped about the details, but he did upload four images on his Facebook page together with a short teasing announcement text that advertises "a brand new Gymkhana-style project, including dirt. And jumps. Lots of jumps. Because everyone loves jumps, right?"

Yes, Ken, we do love jumps, especially if they involve a Ford Fiesta rally car about five to six feet in the air. We also like those quad dirt rooster tails in one of the other pictures, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled today, August 22, when the clip is due to be released.

The scenery looks amazing, and if we can know something for sure about a production featuring Ken Block is that it will be top-quality. Expect unexpected camera angles, great montage, tons of relentless action and, of course, as the man said it himself, lots and lots of jumps.

Whether a switch to off-road hooning will prove to be enough to resurrect the interest in these Gymkhana-style videos remains to be seen, but we think that after years of entertaining us, Ken Block deserves another chance. And many more after that one. But I guess we only have a few hours to find out, so stay tuned for an update once the video gets released.
