Gymkhana 8 Livery on Ken Block's New Fiesta Seems Right for Spied Dubai Action

Playing Ken Block's Gymkhana role might sound like a dream, but it's far from being easy. Just like Top Gear is struggling to recover after crumbling under its own weight, the sideways shenanigans the Gymkhana series has accustomed us to threatening the franchise altogether. So what is the drifter planning to keep the standards evolving?
Well, let's take things step by step. For the next installment, Block went back to the drawing board, gifting his Fiesta with a new livery. You can check this out in the first video below, with the reflective nature of the thing expected to shine in all sorts of ways when subjected to the merciless Dubai sun.

Yes, we said Dubai and that's because Gymkhana Eight was shot over there. It's either that or the spy videos dating back to November show the man's Fiesta drifting all over Sheikh Zayed Road for no apparent reason. And the "Dubai" decal on the door is there for trolling purposes.

We've added two such clips at the bottom of the page, showing the DC Shoes owner doing his thing on the mighty in-city highway. By now, everybody knows Arabic stunt drivers, most of which are amateurs, have a thing for driving their offroaders on two wheels.

Ken Block has played along, literally running circles around such a shenanigan. All while burning the new Toyo tires the producers mention.

And since the Dubai Police vehicle fleet is now truly mature, the white-and-green livery law enforcement machines were also involved. Given the fact that the force includes every type of dream machine you could imagine, from a Lamborghini Aventador to a Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 (it's actually the Brabus version), the move only seems natural. Once again, there's a piece of footage that backs this claim below.

By the way, it seems we're dealing with a new Fiesta here, an ST RX43 machine with 650 hp. Guess the old 600 hp HFHV (Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle) being listed for sale was no joke.

Now, perhaps you should unlock your smartphones and set a reminder on February 29th at 9pm (PST). Yep, that's when Gymkhana 8 will come sliding onto our screens.
