Police chases are among the most dangerous things that can happen on public roads, right in line with drunk drivers and people that text while driving.
Every once in a while, a pursuit gets on the news, and it has to be covered. However, it becomes newsworthy not because police officers chase a famous athlete in a white Ford Bronco, but because the suspect does something outside of the norm.

Instead of simply driving as fast as they can without crashing, in a desperate attempt to get away from police officers, some drivers do silly things.

Phoenix police were following a 35-year-old man from Arizona. Things took a turn for the awkward when at one point he entered a drive through. He was being followed by a helicopter, and FOX was there to get footage of the entire ordering process. It appears that he wanted to order food, but eventually ended the order before completing it.

We sadly do not know what he wanted to get from In-N-Out Burger, and we are even more disappointed that we don't know why he decided to skip the order. After all, it might have been his last chosen meal before a prison sentence, so it would be understandable if he would have eaten it behind the wheel.

Shortly after ditching his order, he drove off and eventually left his pickup truck to flee on foot. That did not work out as well as he had hoped, because the suspect wanted to enter a house through the back door, which happened to be closed. As it appears, this is just one of those things that only works in the movies.

The suspect’s name is Joshua Adkins, and he was arrested on suspicion of unlawful fleeing from law enforcement. His other charges include unlawful restraint and aggravated assault in the form of domestic violence.
