In case you’re wondering why everybody’s talking about Gumball 3000, you should know it’s because this year’s edition is two days away from kicking off. The last thing that involves the eccentric, 3000-mile rally we’ve heard has something to do with driving under the influence. It turns out, the organizers partnered up with an award winning breathalyzer maker. No problem with that, but what happens with all the drivers that feel the urge to push the pedal?
We just heard that Gumball 3000 has teamed up with AlcoSense personal breathalyzers to check everyone’s safe and legal the morning after. How? Well, we all know that the high-end rally is famous not just for the hundred-thousand-dollars cars the participants drive, but also for the crazy parties they through in every city they stop in during the night. Let’s stop here for a second.
The elder’s council of the autoevolution town has decided that one of the group’s “hunters” will be taking the daring quest of driving along on the European leg of this year’s Gumball 3000. How is that related to the breathalyzer? Well, it is.
You see, when one of us was opted for the job, there was a nice little discussion here at the office. The question that started the argument was how do the participants drive their sportscars hundred of miles, party all night long and then go again the next morning? Since parts were taken, we all agreed to wait and find out ourselves. The fact that there’s a breathalyzer sponsoring the event only confirms that others asked the same question.
Until we solve this mystery, however, we’d like to point out that driving under the influence is not the only issue participants are facing, speeding is even worse.
In fact, last year there were at least two celebrities that got fined or even had their licenses suspended for pushing the pedal to the metal. We’re referring to Xzibit and Deamdau5, even though I’m sure there were a lot more others that faced similar issues.

Speeding can be worse
