Gumball 3000 2012: Jon Olsson Hires Cab Driver to Get Out of NY

It seems that Alpine ski racer Jon Olsson doesn't just want to enjoy the ride in his supercharged R8 at this year's Gumball. Being a sportsman, he's used to the competition and thus he wants to win!
Jon knows that the start is a key point in any competition and he has taken care of this for his team. The cars leave from Times Square in New York and have to get out of the city and that can be quite a challenge. Thus, he's paid a taxi driver to escort them out of the city and he wants us all to know about it.

That's cool man, just stop calling him "sweet taxi dude"!

The 2012 Gumball Rally is taking participants on the following route: New York City (start, May 25th); Toronto, Canada (May 25th); Indianapolis (May 26th-27th); Kansas City (May 28th); Santa Fe (May 29th); Las Vegas (May 30th); Los Angeles (finish, May 31st).
