As those of you following the aftermarket side of the industry have probably noticed, the Gulf Livery trend has exploded over the last few years.
However, when such a motorsport attire ends up adorning a brand spanking new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, we'll pay attention to it. This is the case of the Neunelfer in the photos we've brought along today (lens tip to Nicholas Chew for the pics, via Reddit). And you have to admit the machine we have here is quite a sight.
Given Gulf's old relationship with Zuffenhausen and just how well the 991 GT3 RS can perform on the track, the match between the two is perfect.
Then there's the manner in which this livery came to be. Interestingly, this isn't just another product of the wrap industry. In fact, we are dealing with a GT3 RS that started out in life as a Lava Orange car.
The rest of the color scheme has been applied subsequently, as a wrap, with the attention to details being superb. For instance, you should notice how the thin black stripe cover helps mask the area where the Orange paint meets the Blue wrap.
While the melange might mean the shade of Orange isn't 100 percent accurate for the given livery, we won't complain.
Truth be told, we've seen multiple Lava Orange-dressed Porsches lately and we were in search of something new (perhaps something Blue). Now that the 911 GT3 RS has introduced this shade to the Porsche line-up, the carmaker's Porsche Exclusive arm has started fulfilling customization dreams using this hue.
As a result, we ended up with Lava Orange Porsches such as a 911 Turbo S and, more surprisingly, a Macan Turbo.
