As we told you over the weekend, BMW is starting to roll out some new commercials on TV, to replace the ones that have been airing for quite some time now. One of these features an already familiar character: hipster granny.
She made her first appearance in a commercial for the SUV that focused on the leather used on the X5. Then it was time to pick on the sunroof and the way her son drives and now, she’s telling us just a little too much about her body when she was young.
For us it might not be all that disturbing to imagine that the woman that sits in the third row of seats was once considered hot but for her son that is also driving at the moment of the confession it might not be all that ... comfortable to hear.
And yet, the woman is not ashamed to tell her son that she was once beautiful and toned, and that boys used to line-up to check her out. On top of all that, the man (that now has kids of his own) also learns that the story his parents told him when talking about how they met was a lie. That must be heartbreaking.
All in all, this is just another funny episode in the BMW X5 Granny commercials serial. Before we let you find out how the elderly lady found her one true love, we’d just like to tip our hat to the creator of this character: whoever you are, we salute you!
