According to a report from British magazine AutoExpress, the new Nissan GT-R Nismo model ill come out next month at the Tokyo Motor Show. In one of our own reports, we deducted quite similar: a Nismo concept was announced for the 2013 LA Auto Show, and we said it should the GT-R, since its the only such car in development.
We still don't know what's happened to the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet, but the same British source does reveal something quite interesting: the body was developed together with the Williams F1 team.
Another hot piece of information is that Nissan plans a hot version of their VW Golf rival, also under the Nismo badge.
We believe that "Golf rival", as Nissan has been putting it, is the second generation Tiida, also known as the Versa. The hatchback is already in production in Thailand. It's sold in Australia as the Pulsar, where it offers a 190 PS 1.6-liter turbo engine, just like the Juke's. It's reasonable to believe this powertrain is the basis for the Tiida Nismo.
Editor's note: Tiida/Versa/Pulsar/Trazo – why does a car need so many names?
