Grupo Antolin, one of the world’s largest suppliers of vehicle components, unveiled the in-Pulse: a new tech-packed interior car concept that transforms to adapt to the user’s needs. This way, every ride becomes a personalized journey.
The futuristic in-Pulse combines cutting-edge technologies such as morphing shapes to provide a flexible interior with a loading and storage system designed to adapt to the customer’s requirements.
Another impressive feature you’ll find inside is the smart surfaces capable of projecting different information. The ceiling of the vehicle also comes with functional lighting that can be customized to improve the passenger experience.
The in-Pulse is based on an electric SUV with Level 4 autonomy. Therefore, it features advanced driver-assistance systems, including camera-based driver monitoring systems (DMS) and occupant monitoring systems (OMS). The vehicle interior monitoring tech plays a significant role in enhancing the safety and comfort of the occupants.
In order to make the cabin interior a safe environment for both the driver and the passengers, Antolin has developed an air purification system and sterilization solution integrated into the floor console. Following this integration model, the company has also added morphing surfaces in the instrument panel and door panel and new morphing cup holders that can be used for any type of beverage container to keep a clean space for everyone.
The materials used in creating the design of the in-Pulse follow Antolin’s sustainable path. Although it might look like a spaceship’s interior, the concept’s surfaces feature natural fabrics and eco-friendly materials such as cork, stone, or vegetable leather. The use of foamed plastics also plays an important role in reducing the vehicle’s weight.
The in-Pulse concept showcases cutting-edge solutions that enhance the user experience within a vehicle aimed at the U.S. region. And although it was designed mainly for the North American market, the company says that it can be “easily” customized to fit other markets as well.
