Greg Tracy Breaks 10-Minute Barrier at Pikes Peak

Driving up the Pikes Peak hill climb course is a very tricky affair on four wheels, but it is trickier and much more demanding when on two wheels. Proof of that is Ducati team rider Greg Tracy’s sub-10-minute time up the famous road.
Tracy managed to shave nearly two seconds off the 10-minute mark, crossing the line 9:58.262 after starting off. Thankfully, he had a helmet-mounted camera, so that everybody could see just how exciting and scary such a high-speed run really is.

This makes us wonder and ponder on just how much technology has progressed in recent years, as the 10-minute barrier at Pikes Peak was broken only last year by Monster Tajima in his unlimited car. This video also proves Greg Tracy’s skill at handling a motorbike and it shows just how close to the edge (literally) one needs to be in order to stand any chance at winning.
