Green Earth Debuts G-OIL TV Spot

Green Earth Technologies debuted their first ever G-OIL television commercial last weekend, when it aired on April 17 during SPEED TV's live coverage of the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. The 30-second animated spot is voiced by Tom Wopat of "Dukes of Hazzard" and features the new G-OIL racecar.

The video highlights G-OIL, the "official motor oil of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA)." G-OIL is the world's first bio-based and ultimate biodegradable motor oil approved by the American Petroleum Institute. It is made with American-grown renewable animal fats, less harmful compared to common petroleum oils.

The FLM-09 racecar is the first ALMS car to use environment safe oil. The car, driven by Gunnar Jeannette and Elton Julian, help the team secure their first in class victory at Long Beach and to clinch fifth place overall.

"The message of the commercial bears the question 'Can changing your motor oil really change the world?' And our answer is YES. We believe that this new G-OIL TV spot breaks ground for advertising 'green' products and we are so delighted to premiere the ad on SPEED TV during Earth Month," Jeffrey Loch, Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Green Earth Technologies, said in a release.

"The animation is top notch and the transformation of a car using G-OIL into the GETG racing car is like nothing I've ever seen before.  We hope to wow consumers and show that if Green Earth Team Gunnar can race on G-OIL, your car can run on it too," added Loch.
