We knew that Colombian Yonny Hernandes would be leaving Octo Pramac Ducati at the end of the 2015 championship and would be replaced by Scott Redding. Redding's move was already official in late August, after his amazing first-ever podium at Silverstone.
Still, where would Hernandez go was only a rumor, now confirmed by Jorge Martinez' Aspar team. Medellin-born Hernandez, 27, comes with 4-year experience in the premier class after having also spent a couple of years in Moto2.

Martinez sees Hernandez as the perfect rider for his team, as the Colombian already has bike development expertise from Ducati' satellite bike. We remind you that before Gigi Dall'Igna built the current Desmosedici GP15 bike, both the factory and the satellite teams had been running the same machines in an effort to speed up development.

Jorge Martinez ‘Aspar’: “I think he is a great rider Yonny, we have talked in the past. He has so much potential and has shown to be fast many times. I am convinced that the Aspar Team, with our experience and professionalism will help Yonny to keep evolving and produce great results.

For our part we have to keep working hard and continue taking steps to get the Aspar Team back up to where we belong. Next year we will have great joys. Yonny is an experienced pilot and with our method of working he will be able to gain a lot of consistency ahead of the races, an area he still has room for improvement.

Yonny Hernandez:I am very excited to be joining the Aspar Team, several years ago we tried to work together but couldn’t reach an agreement, now we can finally be together. I am happy to be part of the Aspar Team, my goal is to work and give my best to get the best results for the team next season. I know the Aspar Team is a very professional team, I am convinced that next year we can reach a high level.

This is a winning team that has demonstrated for a long time what they can do. I hope we can adapt well to all the new changes planned for 2016 and benefit from them all. It will be a new adventure because all drivers start from scratch with new tires and electronics."

Hernandez currently sits in the 14th position in the world standings, with 47 points. Behind him is the best-placed Open rider, Loris Baz, but with only 28 points, it's hard to believe the Frenchman could threaten his position.

On the other hand, Herandez sort of has Redding in his sights, as 20 points separate him from the Englishman, four races ahead of the season end. As for Hayden and Laverty, Aspar's current riders, something tells us the Kentucky Kid may be the one Hernadez replaces...

Forward Racing eyes having Valentino Rossi's half-brother Luca Marini in the Moto2 team

Swiss team Forward Racing has confirmed Lorenzo Baldassari as one of their Moto2 riders for 2016, and is now eyeing having no other than Luca Marini as a teammate for him. In case the name is not enough to make you understand why this is important, we'll tell you that Marini is the half-brother of 9-time world champion Valentino Rossi, and a VR46 Academy rider.

Marini already has CEV and Moto3 experience and Forward's manager Marco Curioni isn't hiding the team's interest in having him aboard a Moto2 machine. He also admits that more riders that are training at Rossi's VR 46 Academy, such as Fenati or Bagnaia, but they already have other commitments. Curioni says that a decision is yet to be made, and it will be largely based on how ready for this step the team believes Marini is.

No info was offered about how the MotoGP team is faring as far as the 2016 season goes, and this silence has something ominous to it.

Tito Rabat arrives in MotoGP, replacing Scott Redding at EG 0,0 Marc VDS

Here goes the latest change on the rider list for MotoGP 2016, as team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS announces having Tito Rabat aboard their satellite Honda RC213V Scott Redding is riding now.

Rabat, 26, is also the reigning Moto2 champion and brought the first world title to Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS at the end of a record-breaking year in 2014. Rabat is second in the 2015 Moto2 standings and lost any chance to threaten John Zarco's position, being separated from the French by no less than 78 points. Alex Rins is third, but his 184 points may not be enough to scare Rabat, who has 206.
