Now, that's an awesome piece of bike history and by all means, a terribly funny machine: the Dropboards Gorilla 50cc, a faithful replica o Honda's Mini Trail Z50 bike. Sporting the same retro attire like the original bike, the Dropboards' Gorilla can be a great choice for personal transportation.
The Gorilla 50cc is not street legal even though it comes with a semi-automatic 4-speed transmission, front disc brake, headlamp, blinkers, mirrors, brakes and horn: one can really ride this miniature bike to work or around the city.
Not sure how will it ride with an 100kg adult (max weight 220 lbs), but of you're around 70 kg (155 lbs), Dropboards claims that the 8.5 L tank (2.25 gal) will last you for up to 500 km (310 miles) and that's amazing. Add in an electric starter, helmet lock, tool kit and instrumentation and you get a bike which looks great, will ride on asphalt and on rough terrain.
Now, of you're not bothered by people smiling as they see you rolling by on a Dropboards Gorilla 50cc, this might be a nice toy. The price however is a bit steep: $3,060 (€2,290).
