If you’ve got money to spare, movie memorabilia is perhaps a wise investment. While you’re at it, consider that no other memorabilia rises in value with time as James Bond cars do.
That said, the newest owner of a James Bond vehicle is television personality and esteemed chef Gordon Ramsay. He didn’t buy just any old 007 car: he bought one of the 10 Land Rover Defenders created for the 2015 film “Spectre.”

He boasted about his purchase on his Instagram Stories and he started by offering fans a priceless clue by calling himself “James. Gordon James.”

The video saw him zoom in and out of the luxury car, which is believed to have set him back about $250,000. But what’s a quarter of a mil when you can say you’re driving the same car used in drive-by scenes in “Spectre,” arguably the best James Bond film with Daniel Craig as lead?

“I spy with my little eye, something beginning D. A Defender beyond belief!” Gordon says, before gushing, “Look at this baby!”

The Land Rover Defender SVX Concept is registered for UK roads with the awesome P100 Spy license, and is in mint condition, according to classic and specialist car seller Tom Hartley Jnr., who had it listed as available just before Ramsay made his big announcement.

“The Spectre Defender we have here is presented in perfect condition, having been used only in drive-by scenes,”
the listing said. “It is UK road registered and has been driven just 894 miles from new. Accompanying the car is a range of papers documenting filming schedules and the high-end parts used in its construction. Not all of the Spectre Defenders survive today and the ones that do are not all road registered. The ultimate Defender.”

Of the 10 Defenders created for “Spectre,” only several were used in the actual film. The rest were for promotional purposes, as you can see in the image attached to this article.
