Gordon "Pi**ed" with Johnson

Last Monday, during the postponed Samsung Mobile 500, teammates Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson got into a bit of a skirmish, lashed out at each other and ended up saying "they'll get over it." Apparently they didn't, as the "civil war" in Hendrick Motorsports's garages gets more and more intense.

During the Talladega race on Sunday, on lap 183, five laps ahead finish, Johnson was running in front of Gordon, who in turn was coming in fast, thanks to a push from behind.

As the two were entering turn 4, Johnson dropped and blocked Gordon, who was forced below the yellow line. Due to Johnson's actions, the cars behind were forced to slow down and eventually got into a crash which caught Gordon as well.

"I was coming 10 mph faster than anybody... The 48 (Johnson) is testing my patience, I can tell you that,” Gordon said according to The Examiner. “It takes a lot to make me mad, and I am pissed right now. When a car’s going that much faster, I don’t know what it is with me and him right now—but whatever.”

Gordon managed to finish the race 22nd, while Johnson, being caught in another wreck, finished the race 31st. The four time NASCAR champion did not make any comments over the incident, who was classified by the third Hendrick driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr., as the creed for victory.

"Both of 'em want to be champions. You can't fault them for both being so damn good they keep running into each other. They're battling for the same spots all the time. They're just really good, and they end up meeting each other up front toward the end of a lot of these finishes."
