One of the biggest issues in Android Auto has finally been resolved, with Google pointing out that users just need to install the latest version of the Google app to get the patch.
The bug first appeared earlier this year and caused Android Auto to return an error message reading “Internet connection is not stable” when the user tried to send and reply messages using voice commands.

In some cases, Android Auto displayed a slightly different error message indicating that “This Internet connection isn’t stable at the moment.

Users who encountered the issue claimed the Internet connection was working just fine, as everything else on Android Auto, including the navigation, was connected to the Internet to download data such as traffic information.

Google says the whole thing was finally fixed with Google app version 11.0, and now users who previously received the said errors are now recommended to avoid turning to other workarounds and just install this new update.

Thanks to those who confirmed the issue still persists after the Google app version 11.0 update. The Google Assistant team rolled out a fix to address this issue. Please make sure your Google app is up-to-date (version 11.0 or higher) and restart your phone. Let us know how it goes,” a member of the Android Auto team at Google says.

Google is also expected to release a new Android Auto app update in the coming days, and as usual, additional fixes are also likely to be included.

For the time being, however, the search giant has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to the new Android Auto version, so if you previously experienced any issues causing the aforementioned error message to show up on the screen, downloading the latest Google app should technically fix the whole thing.

You can download the latest Google app APK installer using this link if you don’t want to use the Google Play Store for the update.
