In fact, all 50 copies of the car were spoken for in 17 minutes and 28 seconds after it went on sale last night (June 21), at 12:00 a.m. CET (6:00 p.m. EST).

Today, the fastest customer managed to complete the whole purchasing journey, and get his My Ami Buggy in only 2 minutes and 53 seconds,” Citroen said. “Thus, he will receive one of the 50 numbered units personalized with his name, which will be delivered wherever he wants during the second half of August.

Inspired by the Ami Pop, and Ami Vibe, albeit with a totally different style, the new My Ami Buggy sports new front and rear bumpers, additional trim around the lights, and tubing instead of traditional doors. It also has fatter wheel arches, a spoiler at the back, several protective elements, and a fresh Khaki color scheme, with yellow accents. For the wheels, the French company chose a set of 14-inch steel ones, with a gold finish. Made of a water- and UV-resistant material, the protective gray fabric roof is removable, and can be stored behind the seats.

A little bit of personalization is (or rather was) available for the My Ami Buggy Limited Edition, with customers being able to display a custom message at the front of the car. Moreover, there is a dedicated plaque on the dashboard, reading ‘My Ami Buggy Ultra Limited Edition,’ just in case they forget what model they’re driving. And speaking of the interior, it has a black material with yellow stitching wrapped around the seats, similar finish for the floor mats, dashboard storage bins, ‘door’ opening straps, and a few other gizmos.
