Paying tribute to Lamborghini’s glorious heritage, LPI 800-4 is a reinterpretation of the original Countach into an exclusive and contemporary super sports car model. The all new Countach LPI 800-4 was produced in a limited edition with only 112 units, to strenghten its exclusivity, a characteristic feature of most Lamborghinis.

Reaching 100 kph (62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds, the Countach LPI 800-4 has the strength of a volcano, with 814 hp coming from under its hood (780 hp from a V12 and 34 hp from an electric motor). The all-wheel-drive hybrid V12 hypercar reaches a top speed of 355 kph (221 mph), incorporating the hybrid technology developed for the Sián.

It is no coincidence that Japan was chosen as the launch site, as the Countach has always been enthusiastically received here. Countach has also been the protagonist of Manga Comics, graphic novels originating from Japan, even since the '70s, when it captivated the Japanese public with its futuristic shapes, angular forms, scissor doors, power and performance.

To mark the link with this model's past history, a 1989 Countach 25th Anniversary was on display along the LPI 800-4 on an event held only for 90 members of the local press, celebrating the first deliveries to customers.

Francesco Scardaoni, Regional Director for Automobili Lamborghini in Asia Pacific said: “We are excited to present the Countach LPI 800-4 along with the 1989 Countach 25th Anniversary to our media friends in Japan. The Countach has been one of the most popular Lamborghini models ever since it was first introduced to the world five decades ago. As we begin the first deliveries of the Countach LPI 800-4 to our discerning owners in Japan, we can expect that the Countach will continue to turn many heads when it is on the Japanese roads as it has been for the past fifty years.”
