Just like we foretold, Volkswagen is bringing the Golf GTI Clubsport to the Worthersee 2015 event. For those looking to own the ultimate Golf GTI, this is huge news!
The Clubsport is what happens when you sharpen a blunt family car into a track tool. It's lower than the regular GTI and has a more aggressively design. At the front, the grille, air vents and chin spoiler were all changed. The design is similar to the latest Vision Gran Turismo concept car and continues down the side with upgraded skirts.

At the rear, a much bigger wing has been added on top of the trunk and the diffuser is looking sharper.

We don't know exactly what's under the bonnet, but it's undoubtedly a version of the 2.0 TSI turbo engine. We expect more power to be available, probably the same 265 PS as you get on the base SEAT Leon Cupra. This will be the fastest GTI ever built and judging from the "40" in the background of the renderings, they are celebrating the anniversary of the hot hatch legend.

Below, you can watch footage taken while the new super-Golf was undergoing testing last year. It's pretty clear that it has a mechanical limited slip differential that's been designed for track use.

That won't be the only hot GTI being shown at the 2015 Worthersee event, as a full-scale version of the next Vision Gran Turismo car is being presented. It's called the GTI Supersport and has a turbocharged VR6 with 503 PS and 665 Nm (491 lb-ft) of torque. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.6 seconds, and the top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph).
