Golf 7 Debuts in New York With Amazing Light Show

The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf might be one of the oat successful cars in Europe, it might be the European and World Car of the Year, but in America, it's still a Golf, so it needs publicity.
We absolutely love the 7, not just because it's bigger or lighter, but because it hosts premium qualities that some luxury models don't quite comprehend, like uniformity of materials used. It also combines space efficiency with fuel efficiency.

The 1.8 TSI turbo engine under its bonnet might represent the beginning of the end for the traditional 2.5-liter most compacts get. The TDI also represents the future, its 2.0-liter motor offering 150 hp and much more refinement than we're used to seeing.

The way the new Golf was presented at the New York Auto Show is just as cool as the car itself. The latest laser technology meant the Golf of the future put its best foot forward, with cool graphics displayed on the covers used to cover the car before they eventually came off.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
